What are rare cannabinoids?

Like CBD and THC, rare cannabinoids are compounds that naturally occur in hemp and cannabis plants. They are called “rare” because they naturally occur in such tiny quantities. Each is believed to offer different mental and physical benefits. Thanks to advances in technology, they can now be extracted on their own and be used to amplify your health regime. You can learn more about how rare cannabinoids work with our endocannabinoid system here.

What are CBN, CBG, CBC and THCV good for?

Here are a few of the main benefits that specific rare cannabinoids are believed to offer:

Cannabinol (CBN):  Relaxation, sleep. Has been compared to Valium and Temazepam.

Cannabigerol (CBG): Antibacterial properties. A study even showed it effective against superbug MRSA.

Cannabichromene (CBC): Anti-inflammatory and powerful anti-acne properties.

Tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV): Uplifting, energizing, appetite suppressant.

How should I take Rare Cannabinoids?

First, choose the rare cannabinoid that meets your needs or that you have been advised to take by your healthcare provider or cannabis doctor.

We recommend taking it in combination with a full or broad spectrum CBD or THC oil for the “entourage effect,” whereby each compound is combined in a way that is greater than the sum of their individual parts.

There are three easy options:

  1. Ready to Go
Purchase one of our Full Spectrum blends, which contain 250mg rare cannabinoid with 250mg rare Hawaiian CBD hemp extract. These are complete daily supplements. They offer the “entourage effect” and do not need to be added to.
  2. Add to Your Own Oil
If you already have a favorite CBD or THC oil, you can purchase a single extract of a rare cannabinoid. Single extracts contain 500mg of just the pure rare cannabinoid. You will then take it with or alongside your current hemp supplement.
  3. Mix and Match with our CBD Base Oil
Purchase one or more single extracts along with our Full Spectrum CBD Base Oil to mix and match as you please. If you would like a Broad Spectrum (Zero THC) oil instead, please take a look at our sister company Hawaiian Choice’s tinctures, topical gel and edible vegan jellies.
