Cannabis Varins: THCV & CBDV Effects

Cannabis is a remarkable plant. In addition to CBD and THC, it contains more than 100 unique cannabinoids and terpenes that each offer different mental and physical benefits. In this article, we will look at a sub-family of cannabinoids found in cannabis and hemp called “varins.” We will focus on THCV and CBDV effects and potential uses.

THCV (tetrahydrocannabivarin) and CBDV (cannabidivarin) are two of the most popular cannabis varins, and for good reason. THCV is excellent for energy and appetite suppression, which is why many people seek out THCV weight loss products. Meanwhile, CBDV effects include temporary relief from discomfort and stress, improved sociability and reduced irritability. In fact, CBDV is being studied for potential benefits for many mental and physical issues. Find CBDV for sale here.

If you’d like to try CBDV oil or THCV gummies or tinctures, Rare Cannabinoid Company was the first to produce these purified varin oils. We are still the only company producing a pure CBDV oil.

What are hemp / cannabis varins?

Varins are a sub-family of the more than one hundred known cannabinoids found in hemp and cannabis plants. Cannabinoids are chemical compounds that interact with the human endocannabinoid system and provide temporary relief from array of symptoms including stress and discomfort.

Psychoactive THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and non-psychoactive CBD (cannabidiol) are the two most prevalent cannabinoids.

The varin sub-family have slightly shorter, 3-carbon tails, in contrast to the more common, 5-carbon tails found in THC, CBD and most other cannabinoids. Normally, varins are found in minute amounts, most commonly in African landrace cannabis sativa plants. Until recently, very little was available for scientific and clinical study or for purchase. However, recent advances in hemp breeding and extraction have made it possible to obtain larger quantities of varins for research purposes and for sale. THCV and CBDV cannabinoid are two of the most popular varins due to their unique effects.

CBDV Effects & Benefits

CBDV is similar to CBD in some ways as it reduces stress, discomfort, and occasional nausea, but it also has unique effects that make it distinct. Some studies have found that CBDV oil improves social functioning and communication, while reducing stress, irritability, and cognitive problems. For these reasons, CBDV cannabinoid is being used in clinical trials on children and adults to see if it can offer potential benefits for various issues. Please note that these statements have not been approved by the FDA and we are in no way claiming that CBDV can diagnose, treat, cure, or mitigate any illness or disease.

THCV Uses

THCV is known as the “sports car” of cannabinoids because it provides a clean energy boost without the paranoia that can be caused by THC or the jitters and upset stomach that can be caused by caffeine and other stimulants. Animal studies show that THCV oil controls appetite. Learn more here:
